Help Center & FAQs

Find guidance on subscription updates, connection troubleshooting, route selection, and billing. Choose the section that matches your issue and expand a question to see what to do.

For your first setup, start with the Quick Start Guide. If you need to troubleshoot several symptoms, see the Troubleshooting Handbook. For account and order issues, contact support through a ticket in the user panel.

Accounts & Subscriptions

From account details to importing a client configuration, make sure you’re using the current account and configuration.

Do I need an email address to create an account? How should I protect my account details?

No email address is required. Create an account with a username and password. Choose a username you can recognize that does not directly reveal your identity, and keep your username and password somewhere safe. Sign in to the user panel to view plans, clients, and subscription options. Since accounts do not require an email address, do not assume email can be used to recover your password. If you have trouble signing in, check your username, keyboard input, and password manager autofill. For help verifying account ownership, open a ticket through the user panel and provide the requested information. Never post your password or full subscription link publicly.

How do I update my subscription link? What if the route list hasn’t changed?

Sign in to the VPNBonus user panel and check your plan and data status in the account overview, then find the subscription import option for your account. If you have already imported the configuration, update it from the subscription or configuration management page in your client rather than simply refreshing the route list on the home screen. After updating, make sure the selected configuration is the refreshed subscription, not an older one. If the client can’t retrieve it, first check whether your local network can reach the user panel. If the subscription address shown there has changed, import the current address. Your subscription link grants access to your account, so redact its credentials in screenshots and support tickets, and never share it publicly.

Do I need a different plan when I switch devices? Which platforms are supported?

There is no device limit on simultaneous connections, so switching devices alone does not mean you need a different plan. Supported platforms are Windows / macOS / iOS / Android / Linux. On your new device, open the client download page in the user panel, follow the instructions for your platform, and import your current subscription. Then select a route and test the connection. Keep your plan’s data allowance in mind when using multiple devices: unlimited devices does not mean unlimited data. Remove saved subscription configurations from devices you no longer use. If a device is lost or someone else may have accessed your subscription details, check whether the panel offers a subscription reset and contact support through a ticket for next steps.

Where can I get the client? What should I do after importing my subscription?

The client download page is in the user panel. Marketing pages do not provide static installers or direct links to active subscriptions. Open the client downloads page in the panel and follow the availability details and installation instructions for your platform. After importing your subscription, confirm that the configuration is enabled and the route list appears. Select a route and allow the system to add the required VPN configuration. Then open a website you want to access and check that it loads. To check your exit IP, use the IP check page on this site. A connected status does not mean every app is being routed as expected. If your browser works but an app does not, check the routing rules and app settings rather than repeatedly importing the same subscription.

Connections & Troubleshooting

Check your basic internet connection first, then review your account, configuration, and proxy path. Change one variable at a time.

Where should I start if I can’t connect at all?

Disconnect the client first and check whether your local network can open ordinary websites. If it can’t, troubleshoot your Wi-Fi, router, or local internet connection first. Once the basic connection works, sign in to the user panel, check your plan and data status, update your subscription, and confirm that the client is using the right configuration. Next, check whether your system allows VPN connections and whether another proxy or VPN app is running. Pause other similar apps while troubleshooting to avoid routing conflicts. Finally, try another route and note the client’s exact error message. Change one setting at a time and record the results before and after each change to help identify whether the issue is with your network, configuration, or route.

The client says it’s connected, but websites won’t load. How can I troubleshoot?

First check whether no websites load or only one particular site fails. If all sites are affected, make sure the client has actually enabled the system proxy or required network routing mode, and check that the intended configuration and route are selected. Then try another route and compare. If only certain domains fail, check for conflicts between routing rules, browser proxy extensions, and DNS settings. If the client offers a temporary global proxy mode, switch to it for a comparison test, then restore your usual mode. Don’t change DNS, rules, and routes all at once, or it will be difficult to pinpoint the cause. If you see a certificate warning, keep the error details and do not bypass certificate validation to continue.

Why does my browser work, but a particular app doesn’t use the proxy?

Browsers and apps may use different network paths. Check whether the affected app follows the system proxy, whether the client has an app exclusion setting, and whether routing rules are sending its requests directly. If the client offers a global proxy or network routing mode, you can enable it temporarily for comparison after reviewing the permission prompt; restore your original settings when you’re done. After switching modes, fully quit and reopen the app so it doesn’t keep using an existing connection. Some apps also determine availability based on account region, location permissions, or their own access policies, so switching routes may not help. When opening a support ticket, include the app name, platform, mode, and error message so support can tell whether the issue is with the proxy path or an app restriction.

What should I do if the connection drops in the background or keeps disconnecting on mobile?

Check whether disconnects tend to happen when the screen locks, the network changes, or the app moves to the background. If they’re related to background activity, review your system’s battery-saving settings, background permissions, and the client’s network permissions. Adjust the platform settings to let the client keep running when needed. If disconnects happen when switching between Wi-Fi and mobile data, test on one fixed network first to see whether the network change is causing the connection to restart. If the connection still drops on the same network, update your subscription, try another route, and check the client logs. Don’t disable unrelated system security features just to keep the connection alive. Include the circumstances and a summary of the error in your ticket, and mention whether the connection works normally while the app is in the foreground. That’s more useful than simply saying it drops often.

Speed & Routes

For everyday route selection, the destination service’s actual performance matters more than a single speed test.

During peak hours, should I switch regions or try another route?

Pause large downloads and cloud sync on your local network first, to make sure other activity isn’t using up the bandwidth. Then keep the target website and client mode the same while comparing available routes. Try routes in the same region first, then compare with routes in other regions so you can distinguish route differences from region changes. For video, note whether the issue is slow buffering, automatic quality reduction, or an error on the site itself; these can have different causes. Peak-hour performance depends on your local connection, international links, and the destination service. A single speed test can’t predict long-term performance. If you can reproduce the issue consistently, note the time, access network, route name, and what you were doing, then send those details in a support ticket.

Which regions are available, and what should I look for when choosing a route?

VPNBonus covers 100+ countries and 160+ routes. Check the updated lists in the user panel or client for currently available regions and routes. When choosing a route, first consider whether the destination service has regional requirements, then compare responsiveness and reliability for your usual activities rather than relying on geographic distance alone. The United States, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Italy are popular regions to explore, but you’ll need to test whether a particular route meets a specific site’s access requirements. For web-based work, look at page load times and session stability; for media, check actual playback and buffering. Broad coverage does not guarantee the same experience in every region or acceptance by every destination service.

Why are AI tools or streaming services still unavailable when my speed test looks fine?

A speed test mainly measures the connection to its test server; it doesn’t tell you whether a particular app will work. AI tools and streaming services may also check your exit region, account region, sign-in status, or whether your exit IP is eligible for access. First confirm that the service itself is working, then check that your requests are using the intended route. After switching routes, reopen your browser session or quit and relaunch the app so an old connection doesn’t affect the test. Note regional access messages separately from endless loading rather than assuming every error is caused by low speed. VPNBonus provides routes for cross-border network acceleration. Availability in a particular app depends on that app’s policies and your actual connection. Include the error text in your support ticket, but never share the service password.

What details should I include when reporting a route issue? Can I send logs?

Describe the issue in a ticket through the user panel. Include your platform, client name, access network, selected route, time of the issue, and the affected website or app, and say whether you can reproduce it consistently. List what you’ve tried and what happened—for example, whether updating the subscription failed, switching routes fixed it, or the connection worked on a fixed network. Logs can help diagnose the issue, but review them first and redact your username, password, full subscription link, access credentials, and unrelated personal information. Share only the relevant excerpts near the error and any useful screenshots; there’s no need to post your entire configuration. Keep a running record of your tests in the ticket so changes are easy to track and details don’t get scattered across repeated messages.

Billing & Refunds

Monthly plans reset data each billing cycle; data packages last until used. Check billing and refund details separately.

How much does a monthly plan cost, and when does data reset?

Monthly plans: ¥9.9/month for 60GB · ¥18/month for 250GB · ¥28/month for 500GB. Data resets monthly on the date your plan starts. If you upgrade mid-cycle, the price difference is prorated for the remaining days. Choose a tier based on your actual usage, such as web-based work, file transfers, or video streaming; a plan tier does not grant exclusive access to any particular app. For your current billing period and remaining data, check the account details in the user panel rather than calculating from calendar months. Before upgrading, review the total shown in the panel. If you have questions about the proration, ask through a support ticket before proceeding so you don’t mistake an upgrade for a new full billing period.

How do data packages differ from monthly plans? Can I estimate usage by month?

Data packages cost ¥158 for 300GB · ¥358 for 1000GB · ¥658 for 3000GB. They last until the data is used and never expire. Monthly plans reset data each month on the date they start, while data packages draw down from the total purchased. Because they use different billing periods, they can’t be compared on the same monthly basis. If you use the service intermittently, track your data usage first to decide which billing option suits you. Don’t convert data package prices into annual rates that VPNBonus does not offer. “Never expires” describes the package’s validity period; it does not mean you can keep using it after the data runs out. If you’re switching or combining different plans, check the billing and activation details in the panel first. If anything is unclear, ask through a support ticket rather than assuming how plans combine.

Which payment methods are supported? What if my plan doesn’t update after payment?

Alipay / WeChat Pay / USDT are supported. Choose a plan in the user panel and pay using the details shown on the order page. Don’t use payment details forwarded by someone else. If your account overview hasn’t updated after payment, check the order status, then refresh the panel to confirm whether the plan is active. If the payment provider shows success but the order status doesn’t match, keep the order ID, payment receipt, and on-screen message, then report the issue through a support ticket. Don’t pay for the same order repeatedly to try to fix it. Redact personal information that isn’t needed to verify the payment in screenshots. For USDT payments, carefully check the network and payment details on the order page, and never reuse details from a different order.

How do I request a refund, and what information do I need to provide?

VPNBonus offers a 30-day money-back guarantee. See the Terms of Service for eligibility and full details. To request a refund, sign in to the user panel and open a support ticket. Clearly state that you’re requesting a refund and include the relevant order ID, plan, and payment method so the order can be verified. If you’re also having connection issues, you can describe them separately, but you don’t need to complete repeated troubleshooting before submitting a refund request. Keep the necessary payment details for verification and redact unrelated personal information. Never send your account password or full subscription link. The ticket response will explain the refund status and any further information needed. This page does not promise a processing time or replace the refund terms in the Terms of Service.
